Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has hailed Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy as a better striker than Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney.
Maresca is set to lead Chelsea back to former club Leicester City in the first Premier League game of the week on Saturday, November 23.
Last season, Maresca led Leicester to promotion from the Championship to the Premier League before being brought to Chelsea. Where one of the Foxes’ key players was Jamie Vardy, who Maresca praise as the best player of his generation.
The Italian said of the 37-year-old: “I know England are quite lucky to have the likes of Kane, Rooney and many others. But if you ask me, he (Vardy) is the best.”
“He can do many things, like running in Promotion ufabet behind the defence and finishing. But the best thing for me is that he is open-mind and open to listening to his opinions.”
“Last year, he changed his style of play by dropping deep to link up the play and he’s still learning. And of course he has one thing that’s hard to find in others, which is scoring goals.”
“He can be out for one week, without training. And play on the Saturday or Sunday and he’s the one who scores.”
